Games Stories
What are game stories?
A good video game narrative should involve a mix of elements which contributes to the concept and which would give gamers everywhere an immersive and engaging experience.
What makes a good game story?
There's no magic recipe for a strong video game plot, there's no narrative tool there. One video game will take on the duration of the turn-based battle, taking more than 100 hours, and the player will have no choice but to play it the way it was designed
For all these variations, there is also one aspect that any video game has and must consider—a complex player-character.
No matter what you want a good video game takes note of this particular dynamic, the dynamics that inform you both the audience, and the main actor, but you can't encourage the main character to do something that the player does not think they're going to do.
In other words, the player plays a video game – over a movie, so they want to feel dominated, and any good story about video games brings this feeling to the player, even though there is no alternative or no visible story to follow.
What elements make a game story good?
Dynamic player character.
The writer of the video game helps to describe the player and character relationships. Focus on the meaning of your player and the stories that come from your feelings while constructing a plot for your game. The player must understand and believe the character growth — the context, the motivation and the emotional direction — and desire to succeed the character. The character must be logically comported so that the players can get through the plot in a satisfying way with their personalities.
Effective dialogue.
Dialogue is another significant feature of the scripts for video games. The way you talk to each other about your character and other non-player (NPCs) allows players to realize more who they are in the background of the video game. Dialogue also pushes the plot, bridges the holes in history and delivers entertainment and suspense for the player.
Attractive environment.
A complex, fleshy world also takes on a strong narrative. Creating an engaging and immersive space for gamers to discover and learn more about the setting helps to explain how the player is related to the plot emotionally. For some games, an imaginative or intuitive sense replaces the need for dialogue; the plot and its emotional moments are conveyed using vibrant imagery and interactivity.
Good timing.
A storyline dragging too long will lose appeal to a player, while a too fast going game storyline won't be charged enough. Pacing concerns details pacing and release while playing and is an important aspect of writing video games.
Conclusion
There is a do-all be all way of writing a good effective game story, it all depended on the type of connection the writing is trying to achieve and the style of game. A good game story is on that mixes all these factors to create an engaging narrative the emerge the players in the experience
